The Lib Dems are coming!

Conference registration starts at 9am, with the first agenda item beginning at 10am. The day will end around 4:30.

Press Release to Hartlepool Mail:

The Liberal Democrats will be holding their North East conference on October 12th in Hartlepool this year at National Museum of the Royal Navy. Andy Hagon, Lib Dem Spokesperson for Hartlepool said, 'We are really looking forward to Liberal Democrats from across the North East coming to see all that Hartlepool has to offer, and of course, having a particular look round the magnificent Historic Quay.'

The Liberal Democrats now have over 120,000 members across the country. Andy said, 'Our numbers have swelled over the past few years as more people see the Liberal Democrats as a serious alternative to the Tory and Labour Parties, particularly on the issue of Brexit. We are the biggest Remain Party and many people are beginning to realise how damaging Brexit will be, particularly to the North East.'

Anyone can attend the conference but of course you need to be a member first. Andy says, 'anyone is welcome to attend. Just go to our website at www.hartlepoollibdems.org.uk and you'll find out more information about the event.' The Guest speaker will be Tim Farron, a past Liberal Democrat Leader, but Andy also hopes the current Lib Dem leader will also be in attendance.
